About Us

The Prairie Grove Church of Christ is a  loving  and welcoming congregation of people who desire simply to be Christians and attempt to follow the teachings of the Bible and the pattern of the New Testament church to  the very best of our ability. Our worship is simple, friendly and open to everyone.  If you visit us, one of the first things you may notice is that we sing a cappella,  which means we sing without the accompaniment of instruments. We find that the church of the New Testament worshipped in this manner and  believe it is our responsibility to follow the same model(Ephesians 5.19). Our worship also consists of praying, preaching,  and studying of God’s word. We partake of the Lord’s Supper together each Sunday (first day of the week) just as the church did in the New Testament(Acts 20.7). Additionally, we  have a contribution each week in which our members participate(I Corinthians 16.2). Visitors are not expected to participate in this, but are welcome to  if they so choose.

We are autonomous , which means we are not controlled, guided, or governed, either directly or indirectly, by any other group, office or religious body. We do encourage  and try to cooperate with any group that faithfully teaches the same Biblical truths and follows restoration principles today.

All are welcome to attend our services!
